President Director of Pelindo sub-holding SPSL, Joko Noerhudha, expressed the hope that the event would bring continuity and make BMTH a hub for Indonesian maritime tourism.
"The development of BMTH is expected to strengthen Indonesia's position as a major destination for maritime tourism, in line with the success of the event which attracted the attention of yachters and the public," he said.
He added that the event was also an opportunity to introduce the abundant culture and potential of the country's maritime tourism.
Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi, in his remarks at the welcoming ceremony, lauded the event and voiced support for Pelindo's efforts to strengthen national maritime and logistics connectivity.
In line with Minister Sumadi, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno also expressed his support for the event.
