IDXChannel - Indonesian Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati has urged countries in the ASEAN Region not to be easily satisfied with projected high economic growth.
This is because there are still many global challenges that must be monitored because they can negatively affect the regional economy.
"But we all must remain vigilant and always be prepared to face external challenges that can negatively affect the economy of the region,” said Sri during the opening of the ASEAN Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting (AFMGM) in Nusa Dua on Friday (31/3/2023).
“We must continue to update our policies to deal with this dynamic situation. We also must not be complacent despite promising regional growth expectations," she added.
Moreover, she also encouraged ASEAN member states to actively defend and facilitate economic reforms and sustainability efforts.
