“I am delighted to visit Yogyakarta again. This is my first official visit as Ambassador however I have spent time here before when I was learning Bahasa Indonesia. I fondly remember practicing the language in the warungs whilst enjoying the local food and coffee. It is such a wonderful experience for me to be able to engage again with friends and colleagues in this beautiful and culturally rich region," Jermey said.

"Our partnership with this province is going from strength to strength: from the extensive digitisation of -ancient Javanese manuscripts by the British Library in 2012-2023, to arts and cultural exchange, climate change and education.I am really looking forward to meeting His Excellency Sultan Hamengku Buwono X and other partners to discuss ways by which we can deepen our collaboration and friendship with the people of Yogyakarta," he added.
