IDXChannel - Indonesia has welcomed the adoption of the United Nations (UN) Security Council Resolution 2728 demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
"Indonesia calls for immediate implementation of this legally binding Resolution by all parties," the Indonesian Foreign Ministry said on its X account, Tuesday (26/3/2024).
"This is the time to ensure delivery of humanitarian assistance at the scale required and protect civilians in Gaza," it stated.
Last week, Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi invited the international community to make Ramadan a momentum for strengthening global humanitarian solidarity, especially for Palestine.
"Ramadan provides an opportunity for us to become better humans and encourages us to enhance togetherness and friendship. Ramadan is a month of tolerance and ukhuwah" said Foreign Minister Retno.
