IDXChannel - The Embassy of Indonesia in Santiago and Indonesian Trade and Promotion Center (ITPC) Santiago participated in the largest health exhibition in Chile, Expo Salud 2024, this week.

"The exhibition carried the theme of digital transformation in the use of technology in the health sector, especially regarding artificial intelligence and robotic medicine," said the Embassy in a media release on Thursday (12/9/2024).

"The use of digital technology in health services is an important breakthrough for Chile in reaching and providing comprehensive health services to people in various remote areas in Chile," it stated.

Expo Salud 2024 was attended by 70 exhibitors from various countries who had the opportunity to display 240 brands of health products.

In its participation, the Embassy presented a number of medical device manufacturing companies, namely Oneject Indonesia, Haloni Jane, Sugih Instrumendo Abadi and one Indonesian herbal medicine manufacturer, Dami Sariwana.

Indonesian medical equipment products exhibited such as superior injection needle innovations in the form of smart syringes, safe syringes and miracle jex (needle-free injection) have the best quality and are not yet available in Chile.

The Indonesian booth received interest and enthusiasm from visitors of public and private health installations, beauty clinics and importers/distributors of Chilean medical equipment who were interested in supplying disposable medical equipment such as injection needles, blood tubes and medical equipment from Indonesia in large quantities.

"This request is in line with the efforts of the Government of Chile in the construction and procurement of medical equipment for new hospitals in several regions of Chile," it stated.

"The success of Indonesian manufacturers' participation in Expo Salud is supported by the Indonesian Medical Device Manufacturers Association (ASPAKI) who is actively encouraging market penetration of Indonesian medical devices in Latin America and the Caribbean, including Chile," it said.
