IDXChannel - Indonesian Presiden Prabowo Subianto and United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres held a meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Sunday (17/11/2024).
"The Secretary-General appreciated Indonesia’s active role on matters of regional and global interest, including its contributions to UN peacekeeping," the UN Secretariat said in a media release.
The meeting was held ahead of the G20 Leaders' Summit. The event will take place in Rio de Janeiro on 18-19 November.
"They discussed the need for a reform of the international financial architecture," the UN Secretariat stated.
The G20 Leaders' Summit will be held at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM) in Rio de Janeiro on 18-19 November. The main topics of the event are: social inclusion, reform of international institutions, and energy transitions.
