The delegation is led by the Permanent Representative of Senegal to the UN and consists of the Permanent Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, Malaysia, Namibia, Nicaragua as well as the Permanent Representative of Palestine as the permanent observer and representatives of the UN Secretariat.
CEIRPP was inaugurated in 1975 based on UN General Assembly Resolution (UNGA) 3376. The Committee is mandated to recommend the UN General Assembly on programs that would enable the Palestinian people to exercise their inalienable rights to self-determination without external intervention, national independence and sovereignty, and the right to return to their homes and lands.
The Bureau administrates the strategic direction of the Committee's future work. As part of the Bureau, Indonesia is always at the forefront of the Committee. (WHY)
