IDXChannel - The United States (US) and Indonesia have agreed to extend the current Bilateral Development Cooperation Framework (BDCF) until September 2026.

The extended agreement, which includes the commitment of an additional USD150 million from the US Agency for International Development (USAID), raises USAID’s investment in Indonesia to USD800 million since 2020.

“USAID will continue collaborating with the Indonesian Government to achieve Indonesia’s national development plan towards a Golden Indonesia 2045,” said USAID Indonesia Mission Director Jeff Cohen in a media release, Tuesday (19/11/2024).

This development cooperation support covers a variety of sectors and activities, including governance and democracy, economic development, environmental sustainability, and health.

The US and Indonesia have been partners in development for 75 years. This commitment to continue building on that long history of partnership is in line with the growing bilateral relations between the two countries.
