IDXChannel - The United States (US) Navy has joined more than 20 navies for the Multilateral Naval Exercise Komodo (MNEK) 2025, hosted by the Indonesian Navy.
Held in Bali on 15-22 February, MNEK 2025 emphasizes multilateral maritime cooperation and disaster response protocols.
The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey, as well as a P-8A Poseidon aircraft, are representing US Navy forces in the exercise.
“I am proud of what the US Pacific Fleet and our joint force can generate in terms of military power, our ability to synchronize in all domains, and do all of that with our allies and partners,” said US Pacific Fleet Commander Admiral Steve Koehler in a media release on Wednesday (19/2/2025).
“We will continue to be a reliable maritime partner for all like-minded nations and their citizens in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific. We do so with unity of purpose, and with a powerful and resolute force," he said.
