IDXChannel – Bank of Indonesia is optimistic about’s digital finance growth outlook for 2023 despite the global economics stagnation. Moreover, to bolster digitization Bank of Indonesia says tha authority must enacy strong regulation that mandate the development and expansion of the digital ecosystem.
Bank of Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo has said that he is optimistic about Indonesia’s digital finance growth outlook for 2023 despite the global economic stagnation expected the same year. He said that by 2023, the total transaction value in the national e-commerce ecosystem would reach Rp572 trillion, while digital banking transaction would reach Rp67,600 trillion and electronic cash transaction Rp508 trillion.
“The growth of e-commerce will increase to Rp572 trillion, and then the development of digital banking, all transactions have been digitized, increasing to RP67,000 trillion, even electronic money Rp508 trillion. So it’s true what Pak Johnnya said, by digitizing fiber optics and satellites that can already be connected throughout Indonesia, Bank Indonesia will continue to digitize,” Perry said.
