"Indonesia is keen to enhance its cooperation with Australia in the energy sector. We also aim to drive private investment to accelerate our journey towards achieving net zero emissions," Eniya Listiani Dewi, Director General of New, Renewable Energy, and Energy Conservation at the ESDM stated.
This partnership will strengthen the annual Australia-Indonesia Energy Dialogue. It also complements the recent launch of the Australia-Indonesia Climate and Infrastructure Partnership (KINETIK), the Australia-Indonesia MoU on EV cooperation, and the MoU between Indonesian Perusahaan Listrik Negara and Export Finance Australia to develop a USD200 million capital financing facility to support Indonesia’s energy transition.
