IDXChannel - New Zealand and Indonesia have launched a new Plan of Action to guide bilateral cooperation over the next five years.

"The Plan of Action sets a new goal of NZD6 billion in annual two-way trade by 2029," New Zealand's Foreign Minister Winston Peters said in a statement on Tuesday (30/7/2024), following official talks in Auckland with Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi.

"Meeting this goal will necessitate even greater trade cooperation, including on halal," he added.

According to Peters, New Zealand and Indonesia share an important partnership. Over the next five years, both countries will be focused on enhancing their ties.

“New Zealand is strongly committed to our partnership with Indonesia. There is much more we can and should be doing together," Peters said.
