IDXChannel - Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister Pahala Mansury received a visit from the Chairman of the Political Development Committee of the Thai Parliament, Parit Wacharasindhu, along with a delegation in Jakarta this week.
"They agreed to enhance cooperation, particularly in the context of both countries' accession processes to the OECD," the Indonesian Foreign Ministry said in a media release.
The two officials also highlighted the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries and welcomed the plan to establish the Indonesia-Thailand Parliamentary Friendship Group.
Regarding ASEAN, they emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation, including in addressing transboundary haze, organized transnational crime, and resolving the Myanmar crisis.
In terms of economic cooperation, they discussed the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem, cooperation in the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors, tourism and creative economy, as well as the digital economy sector, including cooperation in the digital payment system field.
