IDXChannel - The Indonesian Government has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing economic cooperation with the Special Administrative Region of Macau.
The committment was reinforced by a series of official visits conducted by Indonesian Consul General to Hong Kong and Macau Yul Edison to various institutions in Macau in Noivember 2024.
The visit began with a meeting at the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM). During the meeting with Acting President of IPIM, Elaine Wong, Consul General Yul emphasized the desire to increase trade and investment between the two entities in the future.
"Consul General Yul also proposed collaboration on the Indonesian business and trade forum in 2025 as part of the celebration of 75 years of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and China," the Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong said in a media reelase.
During a meeting with the Macau Health Bureau, Consul General Yul addressed several issues, including the potential placement of skilled Indonesian healthcare workers in Macau and the concerns of the Indonesian community in Macau, particularly domestic workers, regarding health insurance and death insurance coverage while working in Macau.
