IDXChannel - The Communication and Informatics Ministry stated that the government found no reason to block X in Indonesia since the social media platform adheres to national regulations.
"If (X) committed no violation, (then) on what basis should we block them? There should be a clear reason to do so," the ministry's director general of informatics application, Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan, remarked here on Thursday.
X operator stated that a misunderstanding had occurred among members of the public regarding the platform's adult content policy, which allowed consensually-produced adult nudity, he noted.
He said the platform's operator had affirmed its commitment to observing Indonesia's regulations and extended a clarification to the government regarding its adult content policy.
The ministry's official affirmed that the platform has shown compliance with national regulations and actively removed social media content violating rules.
