IDXChannel - A delegation of high-level business figures started their four day visit in Jakarta today (10/2/2025).
They seek to boost investment with Indonesia, one of Australia’s closest partners. The mission will be led by Australia’s Business Champion for Indonesia, Professor Jennifer Westacott AO, Chancellor of Western Sydney University.
The delegation comprises of 39 senior representatives from 27 of Australia’s leading investment firms and corporations as well as globally recognised asset managers, infrastructure experts and peak business groups. They represent a range of sectors including healthcare, infrastructure, logistics, energy, mining and resources.
While in Jakarta, the delegates will participate in a range of briefings with senior Indonesian Government representatives and ministries, bespoke business matching meetings and sector-themed panels. This will also include participation in the Mandiri Investment Forum’s Macro Day.
“Australia is already Indonesia’s 10th largest source of FDI. There are many Australian companies in Indonesia that are seizing the opportunity — creating high quality jobs and transferring technology, while operating to high environmental standards," Westacott said.
