IDXChannel - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated that a global recession would not significantly affect Indonesian economy. He said that Indonesia's economic indicators were recently quite good.
According to the top economic minister, inflation can be suppressed and economic growth can be maintained.
"I am 97 percent sure global recession would not come to Indonesia, based on data," Airlangga said at the Purwakarta Regency Government Hall, Purwakarta, West Java on Wednesday (5/4/2023).
Nevertheless, the Coordinating Minister reminded officials to remain vigilant and encourage economic growth investment, including providing legal certainty. The government recently issued Law on Job Creation.
The Coordinating Minister said the government would also soon issue a Government Regulation (PP) regarding export proceeds. This PP is to strengthen the financial sector in Indonesia and the stability of rupiah.
"This will support investment which is targeted to reach IDR 1,400 trillion this year," he explained.
