IDXChannel - The Muslim Association of Hajj and Umrah Organizers of the Republic of Indonesia or (AMPHURI) has asked the government to take a middle ground regarding the increasing costs of Hajj pilgrimage.
The costs of Hajj pilgrimage in 2023 that must be paid by a participant has been revised down to Rp49.81 million during a hearing at the Parliament Building last Tuesday. It is only 55.3 percent of the proposed average costs of Hajj pilgrimage in 2023 which reached rp90 million.
AMPHURI General Chairman Firman M Nur stated that his party also continues to negotiate with hajj organizers in Saudi Arabia so that costs can be reduced.
“It is a middle ground that will be taken by the government and the Commission VIII of the House of Representatives.
