IDXChannel - The Association of Indonesian Retailers (Aprindo) has stated that The Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) still owes cooking oil subsidies of Rp344 billion.
According to Aprindo Chairman Roy Nicholas Mandey, the economic prices of cooking oil in January 2022 reached Rp17,260 per liter. However, the government asked retailers to sell cooking oil at Rp14,00 per liter.
“The government will pay the differences between the expensive purchase prices and the obligatory selling prices. It is stipulated in the Trade Minister’s Regulation,” Mandey stated.
“BPDPKS said they were ready to pay. Even they said the funds were ready. We have been asked by BPK because the funds are not yet sent,” he stated.
