Indonesia Post Trade Surplus of USD5,67 billion in October

IDXChannel – Indonesia trade balance in October 2022 experienced a surplus of the USD5,67 billion, mainly from the non oil and gas sector of USD7,66 billion. 

This is the 30th surplus since May 2020. BPS Deputy for Distribution Statistic and Service, Setianto detailed that the value of Indonesia exports in October 2022 reach USD24,81 billion. 

Meanwhile, the import value reached USD19,13 billion. BPS informed that the largest increase in non oil and gas exports from October 2022 to September 2022, occurred in animal or vegetables fats and oil of USD437,1 million. Meanwhile, the biggest decline occurred in metal or slag and ash of USD407,7 million. 

“The trade balance in October 2022 recorded a surplus of USD 5.67 billion. Indonesia's trade balance until October 2022, if we look at the backward trend, it posted a surplus for 30 consecutive months since May 2020. Our export value reached USD 24.81 billion, import reached USD 19.14 billion,” said Setianto.
