Indonesia Records USD2.02 Billion Trade Surplus in January 2024

Indonesia’s balance of trade in January 2024 experienced a surplus of USD2.02 billion, which mainly affected by a surplus of non-oil and gas of USD3.32 billion.

IDXChannel - Indonesia’s balance of trade in January 2024 experienced a surplus of USD2.02 billion, which mainly affected by a surplus of non-oil and gas of USD3.32 billion.

"On the other hand, there was a deficit of USD1.30 billion in oil and gas," the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) stated in a media release, Thursday (15/2/2024).

The value of Indonesia’s exports in January 2024 reached USD20.52 billion, decreased 8.34 percent compared to exports in December 2023 and decreased 8.06 percent compared to January 2023.

Non-oil and gas exports in January 2024 reached USD19.13 billion, decreased 8.54 percent compared to non-oil and gas exports in December 2023 and decreased 8.20 percent compared to January 2023.

Imports of Indonesia in January 2024 were worth USD18.51 billion, decreased by 3.13 percent compared with December 2023, yet rose slightly by 0.36 percent compared with January 2023.
