IDXChannel - Indonesia’s balance of trade in September 2023 experienced a surplus of USD3.42 billion, according to data released by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS)
It was mainly affected by a surplus of non-oil and gas of USD5.34 billion. On the other hand, there was a deficit of USD1.92 billion in oil and gas.
"Indonesia's balance of trade recorded a surplus for 41 consecutive months in September 2023," said Acting Head of BPS, Amalia Adininggar, in Jakarta on Monday (16/10/2023).
Cumulatively, Amalia added, Indonesia's trade balance in January-September 2023 logged a surplus of USD27.75 billion.
"This figure decreased by USD12.10 billion compared to the same period last year, which was recorded at USD39.85 billion cumulatively," Amalia stated.
