IDXChannel - The number of international visitor arrivals in Indonesia reached 917 thousand in November 2023, increasing by 30.17 percent compared with November 2022.
However, it decreased by 6.24 percent compared with October 2023.
"International arrivals in November 2023 was dominated by visitors from Malaysia (15.45 percent), Singapore (12.86 percent), and Australia (12.76 percent)," the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) said in a media release, Tuesday (2/1/2024).
Cumulatively, the international visitor arrivals from January to November 2023 also increased by 110.86 percent compared with 2022. This increase in international visitors was mainly recorded at Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali and Soekarno Hatta Airport in Banten, which increased by 168.25 percent and 119.19 percent, respectively.
In November 2023, domestic tourist trips in Indonesia reached 60.33 million trips. This number decreased by 3.77 percent compared with October 2023 but increased by 12.02 percent compared with November 2022. West Java was recorded as the province of origin with the most domestic trips, while East Java was the most favorite destination province in November 2023.
The room occupancy rate of classified hotels in November 2023 was 56.72 percent, which increased by 2.31 percentage points year-on-year)and 3.70 percentage points compared with the previous month. Meanwhile, the room occupancy rate of non-classified hotels was 25.66 percent, which increased by 1.62 percentage points year-on-year and slightly increased by 0.85 percentage points month-to-month. The average length of stay at classified hotels was 1.63 days, declined by 0.07 points year-on-year. (WHY)
