IDXChannel - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is set to allocate 45.4 percent of its budget or the equivalent of Rp2.5 trillion for the development of a number of community infrastructures.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif said the allocation of Rp2.5 trillion would be used to build infrastructures such as the first phase construction of the Cirebon-Semarang natural gas pipeline.

The Ministry is also planning to provide thousands of kit converters for fishermen and farmers, build solar power plants, boost the development of electric vehicle conversion, and add more volcano observation posts

The Ministry also wants to disburse 680 thousand units of electric rice cookers this year. However, according to Arifin, this program is still under discussion with related parties.

"For the 2023 fiscal year, the allocated budget for community infrastructures has increased to 45.4 percent or Rp2.5 trillion,” Arifin said.

In addition, the ministry is also proposing an additional budget of 573.69 billion in 2023 to the Ministry of Finance and Bappenas for the phase two construction of the Cirebon-Semarang gas pipeline.
