IDXChannel - The government has stated that Rp5.8 trillion in village funds had been allocated for village-owned enterprises (Bumdes) during 2015 – 2022.
As a result, the ministry recorded Rp1.8 trillion of village original incomes sourced from the profit sharing schemes of village-owned enterprises in 60,417 villages.
“This shows that the spirit of developing the economy starting from the village level is extraordinary. Today, there are a total of 60,417 village-owned enterprises operating throughout Indonesia,” said Minister of Villages, development of disadvantaged regions and transmigration Abdul Halim Iskandar.
“If we build economic connectivity, I’m sure our villages will experience extraordinary progress,” he added.
As a starting point where farming and MSME products are made, the ministry’s director general of economic development and investment in villages, harlina sulistyorini, said that villages have an essential role in bolstering export activities in Indonesia.
She explained that villages are the basis and the starting point where farming and MSMS products are made.
