IDXChannel - Data from the Central Statistics Agency stated that the Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star classification hotels in Indonesia in January 2023 reached 44.86 percent, an increase of 2.43 points compared to the January 2022 TPK.
The number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia in January 2023 reached 735.95 thousand visits. This achievement increased by 503.34 percent when compared to the conditions in January 2022.
"On the contrary, when compared to the previous month, the number of tourist visits in January 2023 actually decreased by 17.78 percent," said Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics of BPS Pudji Ismartini in a press conference today, Wednesday (1/3/2023).
Compared to the previous month, continued Pudji, the January 2023 TPK actually decreased by 12.04 points. The TPK of non-star classification hotels in January 2023 was recorded at 22.14 percent, an increase of 2.12 points compared to the January 2022 TPK, but decreased by 4.31 points when compared to the previous month.
"The average length of stay of star-classified hotel guests during January 2023 was recorded at 1.65 days, an increase of 0.05 points compared to January 2022 conditions and an increase of 0.03 points compared to the previous month," he said.
