IDXChannel - The United States (US) Consulate General in Surabaya co-organized the inaugural International Conference on Sustainable Semiconductor Manufacturing on 13 August.
The event united multinational members of academia, industry, and government to explore opportunities for growth and diversification within Indonesia’s semiconductor ecosystem.
“We see this as a unique experience for Indonesia to enter the technology industry,” said US Consul General Christopher Green in a media release on Wednesday (14/8/2024).
Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) hosted the one-day conference, planned in partnership with the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the Taiwan Economic and Trade Office (TETO), and the Taiwan-Indonesia Science and Technology Innovation Center.
Semiconductors are the backbone of modern society, providing critical advancements in fields such as healthcare, transportation, and communications. By investing in the semiconductor sector, Indonesia is positioning itself to be at the forefront of technological innovation.
