Indonesia and UAE Cooperate to Build Cardiology Hospital in Solo

IDXChannel - Indonesian Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin and Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh have officially signed a Cooperation Agreement to Facilitate the Construction of Emirates-Indonesia Cardiology Hospital in Solo Techno Park, Surakarta City, Central Java.

​“Signing the Cooperation Agreement to Facilitate the Construction of Emirates-Indonesia Cardiology Hospital in Surakarta is exciting news for us and of course for the Surakarta City's Government. We would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to the Government of the United Arab Emirates for the help to facilitate the construction of Emirates-Indonesia Cardiology Hospital. Hopefully constructing this hospital will go smoothly and in accordance with the target as well as bringing many benefits for Indonesians, specifically citizens of Surakarta and the surrounding areas, because access to health facilities will become easier," said the Indonesian Ambassador to UAE, Husin Bagis, in a written statement on Wednesday (25/10/2023).

The Signing of the Cooperation Agreement was witnessed firsthand by Indonesia's Ambassador to UAE at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UAE Ambassador to Indonesia, Nonresident Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste, Abdullah Salem Aldhaheri at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Jakarta. The hospital will be constructed with 100 beds and specialize in heart/cardiovascular health, to be completed on October 2024.

In his speech, Indonesia's Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin expressed his gratitude to the UAE Government that has contributed by assisting in the construction of the hospital, because this assistance will benefit mankind as a whole, not only Indonesia's health services.

Meanwhile, UAE's Minister of State, Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh conveyed UAE's Government will continue efforts to improve bilateral relations with Indonesia. Through the signing of the cooperation agreement for the construction of the hospital, it is hoped that citizens of Indonesia would benefit from the hospital extensively for health services.
