Earlier, Setiadi stated that Microsoft had been planning on investing huge capitals across an array of fields in Indonesia, including for the development of digitally capable human resources.
Microsoft's plan to invest in Indonesia has been made clear by the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) and the company.
Through the MoU, Microsoft stated its commitment to supporting the capacity building of digital talents and the strengthening of the Indonesian government's infrastructure and digitization.
Furthermore, the government and the company have also agreed to cooperate in improving the governance of artificial intelligence and strengthening the implementation and practice of personal data protection.
The document to the cooperation agreement was inked by Secretary-General of the Kominfo Ministry Mira Tayyiba and President Director of Microsoft Indonesia Dharma Simorangkir.
