IDXChannel - Indonesia's Transportation Ministry continues to strengthen and support the national logistics ecosystem through various regulations, the ministry's Director of Sea Traffic and Transportation Hartanto said.
"We, as regulators, produce applicable regulations that can support business processes in the logistics sector," he said at the Hub Talks: "The Business World Contribution in Transportation and Logistics Development" at JIExpo.
Indonesia is a country with thousands of islands, and the Transportation Ministry is tasked with ensuring interregional connectivity.
Facilities and infrastructure, as well as cooperation with stakeholders, are deemed necessary in order to realize connectivity and support logistics development across regions.
"We are attempting to cope with disparities of logistics support among the islands as soon as possible. We continue to work with existing stakeholders by coordinating with each other. Without coordination, no output from the national logistics ecosystem can be accepted by the community," Hartanto remarked.
