On the same occasion, CEO of Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) Yoki Firnandi stated that PIS and its group transported 160 billion liters of energy throughout Indonesia last year.

However, his side encountered various challenges in the form of natural factors, human resources, security, and safety, among others.

"However, we can face the challenges well because there was no scarcity of energy. This is inseparable from the support provided by the sea transportation (directorate) and related stakeholders," Firnandi affirmed.

Meanwhile, Director of Freight and Sea Toll Business at state-owned shipping company PT Pelni, Kokok Susanto, underscored the dire need for collaboration in the logistics sector.

"Business development cannot be separated from the strategies we must pay attention to. The way we maintain sustainability is to collaborate by sharing capacity because there are many players here. Hence, the operational costs will be lower," he stated.
