IDXChannel - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto explained that the national economy was able to show resilience even though it was blocked by conditions of global economic volatility.

This can happen because it is supported by the impressive performance of the 2022 State Budget (APBN).

Acting as a shock absorber, the state budget is also able to encourage the acceleration of national economic recovery. The impressive performance of the 2022 State Budget can be seen from the various achievements produced, such as a deficit at 2.38 percent of the target of 4.5 percent and state revenue of 115.9 percent of the target or growing 30.6 percent.

"The PC PEN program has been utilized optimally and has a real impact to protect people's purchasing power," Coordinating Minister Airlangga said.

Coordinating Minister Airlangga Hartarto also conveyed a number of President Joko Widodo's directives, including those related to efforts to prevent the risk of potential layoffs. In the short term, the Government will encourage central and local spending on the use of domestic products.

Meanwhile, in the medium term, structural improvements will be carried out in the upstream to downstream industries ranging from supply chains, human resources, research and development, to market access, especially accelerating CEPA agreements including European CEPA and also some cooperation from non-traditional markets.

To encourage employment, Coordinating Minister Airlangga said that the Government will optimize central and regional spending for labor-intensive programs in both cities and villages, expand government-to-government cooperation for Migrant Workers, increase financial inclusion with PNM and KUR, as well as upskilling and reskilling programs such as the Pre-Employment Card Program.
