IDXChannel - Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Penny Williams, together with senior Indonesian government officials and Australian universities in Indonesia, celebrated her country’s strong education partnership with Indonesia at an iftar function this week,
Senior partners from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, the National Research and Innovation Agency, and the Ministry of National Planning and Development joined Ambassador Williams at the event.
“Australia and Indonesia are celebrating 75 years of diplomatic relations this year and education is central to our partnership. From primary school, through to universities, research and innovation, our cooperation in education lays a strong foundation for the close ties between our people,” Ambassador Williams said in a media release on Thursday (4/4/2024).
This year, the Australian and Indonesian Governments have launched the third phase of the INOVASI program, a partnership focused on primary school level education. The program works to improve learning and foundational skills for all Indonesian primary students.
“Australia has the largest alumni network in Indonesia. We are proud that Australian universities are leading the way in establishing Indonesian campuses, providing Indonesians with world class Australian education at home,” said Ambassador Williams.
