IDXChannel - The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is committed to strengthening the country's diplomacy infrastructure through the utilisation of new technologies.
The Ministry held a talk show with the theme "Towards an Impactful, Integrated, and Data-Based Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE)" in Jakarta on 15 January.
According the Ministry's media release, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Pahala Nugraha Mansury in his opening remarks mentioned the era of digital transformation that is happening and affecting "the way we do business", including in the government sector with the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) policy.
SPBE is expected to transform the traditional bureaucracy into a more efficient and transparent bureaucracy with increased public participation.
This is in accordance with the 4+1 Diplomacy priorities set by the Ministry, where one aspect of this diplomacy is strengthening diplomacy infrastructure through the utilisation of information and communication technology (ICT) services to improve the performance of Ministries and Representatives.
The Ministry has developed more than 80 applications to support performance, both in the form of government to government (G2G), government to community (G2C), and government to employees (G2E) services.
