IDXChannel - Indonesia participated in the Global Rail Transport Infrastructure & Exhibition 2024, held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this month.
Indonesia's participation aims to promote the capabilities and technologies of Indonesia's rail infrastructure, which is currently developing significantly, and to open opportunities for investment cooperation in the rail transportation sector.
“Our main focus includes technology innovation, service quality improvement, and the development of environmentally friendly and sustainable rail transportation," the Director General of Railways at the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation, Mohamad Risal Wasal, said in a media release.
"This effort aims to strengthen Indonesia's position as a leader in railway infrastructure innovation at the international level," he said.
In collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, several Indonesian companies participated in the event, such as PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI), PT KAI Commuter Indonesia (PT KCI), PT INKA, PT Len Railway System (PT LRS), PT Adhikarya, and PT MRT Jakarta. They explored new opportunities on the international stage, in line with the growing global demand for sustainable and innovative transport infrastructure.
