IDXChannel - President Joko Widodo departed for Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea on Wednesday, 5 July 2023 after visiting Sydney, Australia.
From Sydney's Kingsford Smith International Airport, the President and his limited entourage departed for Port Moresby's Jacksons International Airport using the Indonesia-1 presidential plane.
In Papua New Guinea, President Jokowi is scheduled to meet with the Governor General of Papua New Guinea Bob Dadae. Afterwards, the President is scheduled to have a face-to-face meeting and bilateral meetings with the Prime Minister (PM) of Papua New Guinea, James Marape.
"I am fulfilling the invitation of Prime Minister James Marape," said the President when kicking off his tour on Monday, 3 July 2023.
In addition, the President will also attend a business forum and meet with entrepreneurs in Papua New Guinea. He will also launch the Citilink airline's Denpasar-Port Moresby flight.
