IDXChannel - Inflation in April 2023 stood at 0,33 percent month-to-month (mtm) or 4.33 percent year-on-year (yoy), according to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS).
In the previous month, the country's annual inflation reached 4.97 percent.
“On a calendar year basis, Inflation in April 2023 stood at 1.01 percent compared to December 2022,” said BPS Head Margo Yuwono in a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday (2/5/2023).
Last month, BPS stated, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased to 114.74 from 114.35 in March 2023.
“Based on commodities, the main contributors of inflation in April 2023 were air transportation (0.06 percent), intercity transportation (0.03 percent) as well as gold and jewellery (0.02 percent),” Margo stated.
BPS stated almost all expenditure group indices recorded an increase in April 2023. On the other hand, Information, Communication, and Financial Services Group recorded a deflation of 0.25 percent.
