Jokowi: Besaran Biaya Haji Belum Final
Sodetan Kali Ciliwung is an integral part of the Ciawi Dam, Sukamahi Dam, and other flood canal systems. The construction of this sodetan is part of the government's comprehensive efforts to control floods in the DKI Jakarta area.
"Actually, this is a follow-up project that used to run from 2013 to 2016, then stopped because of land acquisition problems," said Sodetan Kali Ciliwung Project Manager to the East Flood Canal (KBT), Farida Maharani.
According to Farida, currently the progress of the sodetan development has reached 77 percent. President Joko Widodo himself is optimistic that the sodetan project can be completed and operational in April 2023.
President Jokowi conducted a review at three points, namely the Ciliwung River inlet on Jalan Otista, the arriving shaft on Jalan Otista III, and the outlet point on the East Flood Canal (KBT). The total length of the Ciliwung River sodetan tunnel to KBT reaches 1.2 kilometers and when reviewed, work is being carried out from the inlet to the arriving shaft along 590 meters.
"The work from the inlet to the arriving shaft is 590 meters and this is among the longest in the world," continued Farida.
Sodetan Kali Ciliwung has two tunnels with a diameter of 3.5 meters each. The presence of the sodetan will reduce water discharge by up to 33 cubic meters per second at the time of the standby flood status of four and 63 cubic meters per second at the time of the standby flood status of one.
